The 802.11g standard, ratified in June 2003, uses the same OFDM modulation method and signal structure found in 802.11a for high data rate, but it operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band instead of the 5.x GHz U-NII band. 802.11g can provide a fast data rate at 54Mb/s as well.
